I know, I suck. Plain and simple. But I tell you what, I know something that sucks more, and that is the Ritz Carlton Singapore. Man it's been five years since I last stayed here, and I can assure you, it will be many more until I do so again.
Now for those who are playing along at home, you will guess why I would even give the Ritz this second chance. Yep, if you answered more time to see Lisa and a happier Byron. Byron has never liked the Fullerton, this I can somewhat understand, but not really in total, as a lot of what makes him a happy boy is there and nowhere to be found at the Ritz.
Well he also had a poor stay at the Ritz, and I think he's found a really good solution for next time. Even myself, I will have to look at this for the December stay, but for right now I'm looking forward to getting back to the Fullerton.
In a few days my brothers will be here, and I have NO DOUBT that they will love the Fullerton.
Actually, the big problem isn't the Ritz right now, but did I mention it sucks, it is instead Indonesia. With their farmers burning down what must be 70 percent of their land mass, the air here is constantly filled with smoke. Note this attached picture I took a few days ago, taken from the Ritz, hey did I mention they suck. Believe it or not this is bad, but not really bad. I have a picture twice as bad, but with no details to see, you just assume I took a picture of a piece of white paper. Even worse is if it rains, you get the Singapore version of acid rain.
For my brothers, I feel so bad, as during their last visit, it must have rained 75% of the time, and these guys are BIG tanning people. Add to the fact the Fullerton infinity pool is killer compared to the much larger but lamer Ritz Carlton pool but do note the term infinity. When you can't see ten feet, this feature may be lost on you and hard to swim in an iron lung.
All I can do, is hope this bad cloud will lift with a change of venue. So tomorrow Lisa and I are going to a special dinner hosted by a famous local chef, and then I have to pack for check out the following morning. So I will catch you up more about this dinner once settled into the Fullerton, but http://chubbyhubby.net/ will do a much better job anyway.
So for now I bid you a full of fish-head curry good night.
