I won't even dare say sorry for the lack of updates. I know I suck, plain and simple. But as it's the season of holidays I'm hoping you will be in a forgiving mood. So been busy doing things, but none of them come to mind, oh the joys of growing older.
I did have a wonderful thanksgiving with my Mom, and maybe I can update you when home on the menu I cooked. The highlight for me was these dim sum I made with a combination of pork and cranberries that had been mixed with sour cream, wassabi, horseradish, red-onion, and other elements. I know far from tradditional food, but good none the less.
So last night I had dinner with Camilla, always a stunning dinner partner to dine with, at Tom Aiken's in London. With only a single night in London, it was a wise and tasty use of my time. As she is is fluent and quite impressive in her french, we had the staff present the entire meal in French, which was wonderful. As many of you know, as a sad American I'm useless at speaking back but as a global citizen, I can now understand much more than people would guess. Specially when it comes to food. So this added a nice twist to an even nicer evening.
I highgly recommend dinning there if you get a chance. The food was outstanding, the service excellent, and one of the best and most fair wine lists in London. As a fan of Fat Duck and Gordon Ramsey, I found Aiken's to be a nice change and look forward to future visits.
So I'm off the Copenhagen next, I will meet up with Byron there for you playing the board game at home. I will be preparing for the greatest riddle known to man or woman while there. You can read about this in my personal blog.
I will do my best to keep you all updated, but as you know I'm just full of empty promises when it comes to blogging. Lucky I keep my promises much better in the "real world"
Until then may your jingle balls be jingling in honor of this seasonal trip.
